Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Lisbon High School! Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time, we are excited to welcome you to a rewarding and inspiring year.

At Lisbon High School, we are committed to providing every student with a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff works hard to ensure that students are challenged to grow, encouraged to lead, and supported in reaching their full potential.

This year, we will continue to build on our strong traditions of excellence while also exploring innovative approaches to teaching and learning, community engagement, and student leadership. We encourage all students to get involved—whether through academics, athletics, the arts, or one of our many clubs and organizations. Active participation builds strong relationships and a deeper connection to our school community.

Family engagement and strong communication are essential to student success. Please make it a priority to stay connected through our school website, daily announcements, and PowerSchool, our Parent/Student Information System. PowerSchool provides access to grades, assignments, attendance, and more. A separate letter with login credentials and instructions is included within this mailing.

Required Forms and Student Information
To help us ensure a safe and efficient start to the school year, we kindly ask all families to complete the following forms included within this mailing:

1. Emergency Contact Form: It's vital that we have up-to-date contact information in the event we need to reach you quickly.

2. Student Health & Emergency Information Form: This includes important health-related updates and allergy information. Accurate medical information is critical for student safety and support.

3. Economic Status Form:  Required by the State of Maine for free/reduced lunch funding.

Please return all required forms by Friday, September 5, 2025.

Important Testing Information

At Lisbon High School, we are committed to ensuring every student is prepared for success beyond graduation. As part of our ongoing focus on academic readiness and college/career planning, we use a variety of assessments to guide instruction, support student growth, and inform future opportunities.  This mailing may include last year’s Spring Assessment Reports for students who tested in the 8th and 10th grades.

NEASC Accreditation Work

We are proud to announce that Lisbon High School will be continuing our work with NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) this year. This important process helps us reflect on our practices, celebrate our strengths, and set goals for continued growth and improvement. As part of this work, students, families, and staff have already participated in surveys, focus groups, and collaborative planning sessions. We look forward to our Collaborative Conference Visit in October.
